For the second time, The Keltika Festival will take place in Tolmin. This time, the concert in the vicinity of the Isonzo Front will be more than appropriate, since we will listen to the band Katalena and the songs from their album Človek ni zver (Man is not a Beast, 2018) that tackle the issues of war and its horrors. Katalena was the first band on the Slovenian music scene to play Slovenian folk songs with rock instruments. The band is active for more than 17 years and has published seven conceptually coherent albums. However, on Človek ni zver there are no folk songs, but mostly original songs and lyrics by band members, and also some poems by Ivo Brnčić (he died in WWII) put to music. The album, produced by Chris Eckman (The Walkabouts, Glitterbeat Records), received excellent reviews. Katarina Juvančič wrote in Odzven: "Katalena has never sounded so convincing, mature, uncompromising, stunning and subtle at the same time."
