The career of violinist and conductor Julian Rachlin has enriched the world stage of classical music for almost three decades. In the previous concert season, he performed with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and Zubin Mehta, as well as appearing with the St Petersburg, Israeli and Chinese Philharmonics. As a conductor, he debuted with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra and the Luxemburg Philharmonic. He is also active as a chamber musician, where his partners have included Martha Argerich, Natalio Gutman, Mischa Maisky, Mstislav Rostropovich and Itamar Golan. Rachlin performs on a Stradivari violin named Ex.Liebig, dating from 1704. On this occasion, he will perform the Mozart dialogue together with Canadian violinist and violist Sarah McElravy, another versatile and renowned musician. Her repertoire ranges from solo music, through chamber music, to orchestral music. She is a founding member of the Linden String Quartet, with whom she has toured throughout North America, Europe and Asia, performing at some of the most prestigious concert venues, such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and Suntory Hall.
