As usual, Keltika's last concert before the Jazz Cerkno festival (May 16-18) will be marked by jazz. Two bands are on the menu: Slovene-Serbian duo of violinists and vocalists Kravanja / Stanković, and international quartet Kuhn Fu. The latter gathered in Groningen (Netherlands) around guitarist Christian Kühn, who is originally from Germany, while other members come from Israel (bass clarinetist Ziv Taubenfeld), Turkey (bassist Esat Ekincioglu) and Great Britain (drummer George Hadow). They classify their music as a post romantic jazz/rock disorder, which can sound as viscous as lava or take on manic dimensions that lead to hard clashes. They will perform in Cerkno for the first time, as part of a promotional tour for the Chain The Snake album, released on March 22 for Berthold Records. Keltika concert evening will be introduced by the fresh duo Kravanja / Stanković, comprised of the "sisters by instrument", violinists and vocal improvisers Tijana Stanković from Serbia and Slovenian Ana Kravanja (Širom, Olfamoštvo). The duo, which has been operating since 2018, will release debut album with a set of different recordings in April, from music created in domestic surroundings through concert recordings to compositions recorded in the Klopotec's label studio.
